OUR MISSION STATEMENT, VISSION AND PURPOSE
While numerous groups are geared toward the parent going through the initial stages of
divorce and recovery, the Single Parent's Group is aimed at the single parent who is moving
on with their lives. This does not mean parents going through those
painful first stages of divorce aren't welcome. In fact, the group can be a means of support
and hope to show there is life after divorce and healing can and does take place.
The goal of the group is to provide programming, networking, socials and new interests in
life that not only meet the needs of the single parent but the needs of our children as well.
Activities will include camping, hiking, parties, rafting and whatever else is decided on as a group.
We believe that with God's help and a personal relationship with Jesus Christ we can be proactive in
helping our children adjust to the challenges of being in a single parent family.
The success of the Single Parent's Group will ultimately depend on active involvement by parents
in the group. It's designed to be a group not so much led by "leaders" but rather by the group
itself. Please join us and plan on being involved with others who are single parent families
wanting fellowship and interaction with other parents and their children.
