TheSingleParentFamily.org is an ongoing effort to meet the needs of
single parent families in the Charlotte, NC area. It is sponsored by
Genesis Family, Inc.
which began as the Harris YMCA's Single Parent Family group and has been meeting
since 1998.
Through volunteer efforts, TheSingleParentFamily.org is able to have a greater impact on meeting the needs of single parent families through a wide range of resources available over the Internet. We believe that with God's help, we can be proactive in helping our children adjust to the challenges of being in a single parent family. We also hope this web site will benefit all single parent families, not just in the Charlotte area, by providing useful information and helpful links.
